Dual display Nav (colour and Monochrome)

Out of interest, would a dual display MK3 navigation be possible, using a 4:3 head unit in the dash, and the monochrome display from the Business Nav? I believe the Rover 75 had such a system.

The wiring diagram shows a single NAV_BUS line going from the nav computer to the business radio. I wonder if that is disabled when the nav is in colour mode.

No, or to be true: I strongly doubt it.

The nav has a different OS loaded for colour vs Mono.

If VDO thought it necessary to load a different OS, then my guess is that colour nav does not support mono data output.

And I know for certain the opposite is true: the mono nav does not support the colour screen (been there many times...)
