Tv module assistance needed

I have the mk3 and tv module (not installed). I am wondering how to disable the mk3 and just use the tv module alone. Do u just unplug and install Thr new unit? If not does anyone kbow where you can order the jumper wires for both units to work. Thx in advance for the input.

I don't think US cars ever came with TVs so you wouldn't have the TV antenna amplifier that Euro cars have, ALSO the US digital TV system won't work on the BMW video module. We in the US just had to be different from everyone else. Your video module would only show a menu screen and the OBC info.

roy, i understand that i need to order those parts to have tv that wont show any channels since its all digital now. but this thing works sometimes perfectly (the radio cd tape and obc, tv comes in all fuzz but works) then sometimes the radio bugs out and wont work switches on and off every few seconds with this message pops up.

This uses an adapter cable which I have used on my 750iL. It has been mentioned many times on the bimmerboard nav forum by me and/or brian or others. The P/N ends in 219. I will look for the complete number if your search doesn't find it. The e39 and e53 have different P/Ns.
