BMW NAV looks ugly to me

Anybody...does the NAV system's graphics look ugly to you? I just upgraded to V22. I have MKIII. I couldn't find any difference between V17 and V22. Just that now I see split screen, which in my opinion is downside.
And, is there a way on this earth that I can get back full screen instead of split screen without having to downgrade the OS? Gosh, this sucks so bad....

Thanks for any help

Not sure if you can do this on 4:3 screen!Suggest you look at your OBC manual!

On mine all you do is:

Call up "MENU",select "SET",select "SCREEN" and then I can choose beteween "SPLIT" or "FULL".

On the 4:3 screen, you cannot do it. I think the Acura's has the best NAV system. Don't know why BMW is so behind the tech curve on this stuff.

You are at the newest available OS for your drive, because you have an MkIII. If you had an MkIV, you'd have a DVD drive, and the newer software does look better.

Did you figure out how to reset the screen to full screen?

IMHO, split screen is the way you go, anyhow. You get directions on screen and street info when in map mode. That's a silly feature.

No, I haven't figured out how to switch it to full screen and back. The part of the screen that shows the maps looks like my Garmin iQue 3600, but with way worse graphics. Do you think BMW will release update for MKIII?

Probably not, homes. The MkIII is outdated now.

In Powers's post:Call up "MENU",select "SET" or "SETTINGS" ,select "SCREEN" and then I can choose beteween "SPLIT" or "FULL".
he gave the instructions how to get it back to full screen.
