UUC Motorwerks Short Shifter

I was talking to UUC motorwerks about their Evo 3 short shifter, well they have stopped production of this, but they told me they might be willing to do a production run if there were enough interested buyers. Realistically we probably need about 10 people, the price on these is around $199, but I may be able to get them for cheaper if I can get 10 serious buyers. If you have a X5 5 or 6spd manual this is the best thing you can get for it.

Is it too late to revive this thread? FWIW I'm interested too.

BTW, Here's a copy of an inquiry I made to UUC before. Hope they change their mind if ever we have enough serious people to demand this.

Hi Rod,

Currently we do not offer any products for your X5 with the exception of
custom-made wheels from Forgeline:

+1. Where do we sign up? I really miss the short throw. I customized my old E30 with a Z4 short shifter with the UUC DSSR (selector rod) and man, it was nice! Don't get me wrong, I love my X, but she feels like a bus as compared to my old E30 (and 330).

UUC short shifter for 5 or 6 speed manual X5 E53

I pursuaded Rob to put this back in production last Feb. He needed a new X5 shifter, out of stock in the US so I mailed one to him around Easter 2012. Last version was Evo 2, the new one would be the current Evo 3 design.

Product wise, I've had two UUC shifters so far - my former E30 touring and former E34 touring. Great upgrades both times. In terms of the $ to fun ratio, this is an outstanding upgrade compared to more costly things. You'll enjoy this in all conditions, climates and driving modes.

You can pre-order it NOW, just put X5 in the search field on the UUC site.

I check in with Rob every 2 to 3 months, there are a number of people who have pre-ordered it. He wants to put it in production but he is wanting to fill orders for things he has all set up.

I'm pretty confident we'll see it Q1 2013 - which works fine as I'll finally get to the bottom of my X5 upgrade list :)
