Yes, this converts from halogen to xenon and includes bulbs in the temperature of your choice. They are now for sale at $60 a pair plus shipping (you can't beat that price!) KHOALTY | BMW Accessories | HIDs

He's also doing this as a regular sale now so it's not necessarily a group buy any longer. You can order them individually whenever you like.

As far as error codes, I haven't done this myself (on my E53 X5) so I can't say for certain. But another user on here posted above that he had no errors at all. I also installed these on my E46 330ci and I have not had any error codes of any kind.

Looks like I finally may be going back to work full time soon, keep your fingers crossed for me! So assuming all goes well on the job-front, I'll have a set of these on a bit after New Years :) and will post pics then.

Ahh and he will have another special running just for X5 owners soon. I'll post details in a new thread :D

There is nothing great about this GB at all. I bought a set of HID conversion headlights for my X5 for $60 shipped, free resistors w/ a no questions asked two year warranty. I bought mine through www.hidextra.com, used the coupon code "besthid-m" and make sure to ask for the free resistors in the comments box. I've heard there are even better deals, around $50 shipped from www.ddmtuning.com, which has been floating around the Bimmerforums.com for years. Why pay more when you're not getting anything more in return.

Here is my post Xoutpost.com - View Single Post - Latest mod: HID fog lights installation on Persona's HID thread http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...tml#post675447, which it looks like the same kit he purchased before.

Since I already contacted the vendor I thought I'd share pricing in case anybody wanted to join in and see if we could get a slightly better deal.

H-11 HID/Xenon kit $64.95 + Shipping!

If anybody else is really interested I'll contact him again for any additional details.

Ideally I'd like to place this order in the next week or two at latest.

You seem awfully excited for an HID kit that will probably be $10-15 more than the place I purchased my HID conversion kit. You say you're working w/ them, so are you promoting this because there is something in it for you? You're kit costs more than what I've seen on the links I posted above, so I don't see how this GB is going to be some awesome deal unless it goes below what myself and others have already bought for less. :dunno:

You've already got replies on this thread, why start another. I'm curious to see what this other "special" is and if it comes out to be less than what I've already paid.

Jesus, I just looked at their site. $30 for bulb-error resistors?! Like I said, the kit I got came w/ them for free, you just have to make sure and ask. So essentially this conversion kit is going to be $90 plus shipping for bulbs, ballasts, and resistors...their "deal" is turning out to be a failure. The ONLY thing I see that they have going for them is a lifetime warranty, but in all honesty, that means nothing when they're an internet website and could go away at anytime...then what? Who ever thought 2yrs ago that Circuit City would go under, this internet site could be gone by noon today.

If you look at the date of my original post, it was back in January of this year. I had purchased HID's from Khoalty earlier that summer and thought I'd share what I thought was a good deal. Sorrrryyyyyy. No wonder so many people have mentioned how negative this board has become.

Unlike some people, I don't just bit(#, moan and complain about things. When I get good service or products from people, I actually like to praise and promote. The reason I wanted to start another thread wass because he had another offer that was specific to X5's and he asked if I thought there would be any interest for it. I volunteered to make a post about it. Does that mean I get anything for free, or discounts.... no. Everything I've ever purchased there, I paid full price for. But his pricing on E46Fanatics is well below any other vendor on there so I thought I'd hook up some fellow X5'ers, again sorry for trying to be helpful.

They've been around for a while, as to their longevity, who knows. Like you said, anybody could go out of business at any time, but my experience with them has always been positive.

Also, if you read one of the above posts, someone on here got a set w/out resistors and is not getting any errors.

Anyways, have a merry Christmas and sorry for trying to be a contributing member on here. :tsk:

You posted what you thought was a good deal that happened over a year ago. I posted a better deal that happened recently. How am I being negative? If anything, it's more informative. Isn't that part of the point of these message boards in the first place? I'm sorry you take that personally that myself and others have purchased the same kit for a lower price, but that by no means is an attack at you. I didn't call you a thief or a liar, so don't be so sensitive...it's the internet.

How am I biting? I pointed out that your deal isn't as spectacular are you promoting it to be. Fine, you've got a relationship w/ this guy so you're promoting his HID conversion kits and shadowlined badges. I've had the same good experience w/ the people I bought my HID's from, but I also know myself and others have paid less than your seller. I've never purchased from DDM, but I mentioned them because I've heard they offer better deals than where I purchased mine from. You were being helpful in your eyes...I'm here mentioning a better price, so I felt I was being more helpful. I don't understand what you keep apologizing for?

I'm glad your experience has always been positive. Myself and other members have had a similar positive experience w/ the place we bought from, and they were roughly $40 less. Mine worked for about a month w/o resistors before I had a flicker one evening. I mentioned this to my seller, and w/o any questions, then sent me resistors free of charge. Another member here forgot to ask for the resistors, and they send them to him w/o question also, so whenever I mention the seller, I make sure to note that the person buying them needs to remember to ask for them. If your suppliers HID kits work fine w/o resistors and his site seems dedicated to 3 series vehicles, why would he offer resistors in the first place if they're not even needed? There isn't a problem w/ you contributing to the forums, but unless you have a personally vested interest in them, why are you taking this as a personal attack? Once again, quit apologizing...unless there is a need for it. Here there I don't think there is a need to do so.

Lastly, you should go ahead and post this exclusive pricing for X5 members, but in my opinion, if it's not lower than HIDextra or DDM, then why post it in the first place?

Have a Merry Christmas yourself, but your general, uncalled for defensive tone suggests that you're not really being sincere saying that to me in the first place. Take care.
