Very tempting....I am getting close to needing another set of tires. This could be my excuse.

detail-king 06-26-2010 12:31 AM

lol it is a good deal!

Would these fit the e70? My mum might be interested, they would have to be a perfect stock fit though.

detail-king 06-26-2010 12:57 AM

yes they are direct bolt on

I'm sure the vendor can give you reinforcement, but what part of
the wheel description, in the Vendor's original post, does not suggest
they are "wide wheels"?

Rims size: 20 X 9.5" front & 20 X 10.5" rear

detail-king 06-27-2010 02:07 PM

yes the rears are wider than the front

Have anything like these that will fit an E70 that are the 10.0 (275) fronts and 11.0 (315) rears like the new sport models are coming with?

detail-king 06-28-2010 02:56 AM

I have a different style in 22" by 10 and 22" by 11. Would that work?

22's would be too big - I've been looking at these: 20" LeMans Double Spoke Fits BMW X5 X6 3.0 4.4 4.8 215: eBay Motors (item 180490522492 end time Jul-04-10 22:12:59 PDT)

but it's not a "killer deal" like the ones you are offering :)

BTW - I was thinking of the fronts as 10.0 and rears as 11.0 - just mixed it up the first time :)

detail-king 06-28-2010 03:02 AM

lol yea if i had that setup id be more than happy to sell it but i only have the 9.5 and 10.5...... sorry man....

I would need different offsets though I think.. I've got a 2011 X5d, and am trying to keep it somewhat "stock" - the stock "sport" upgraded wheels are 10.0 front and 11.0 rear 20's. I think the stock offset is 40 in the front and 37 in the rear - sound right?

detail-king 06-28-2010 03:29 AM

mine would be the same because mine are 9.5 with et45 and 10.5 with et30 so its going to sit just like the factory wheels.

Hmm.. this is tempting.. hopefully there is some interest to get that price - BTW, I like the 22's you have - just wish they came in 20's :) 22's are just too big for me..

detail-king 06-28-2010 04:48 PM

The 22s are actually not the big. Did you see the X6M styles one I have in 22" staggered? I think there will be interest in this special. Let me know if you want the 20s and we will start a list of people interested.

I have set the deadline for 15th of July. But I am flexible if there is enough interest. To be honest, If we can get about 7 or 8 people, I will most likely give the deal as I like the members on this forum. They are usually $850 plus shipping.

Everyone else please let me know if you are in so I can prepare a list!

Foose 06-30-2010 08:55 PM

How well are these packaged? The one thing stopping me from buying wheels online or through ebay is the possibility of bent wheels. Either from shipping or manufacturing.

detail-king 06-30-2010 10:11 PM

We package our wheels very well because of issues we have had in the past. I guarantee none of our wheels being bent from manufacturing. As far as shipping, we always make sure we do our best to package the wheels as well as we can.

I noticed you have a location of Toronto...would I be able to check out the actual wheels?

If everything is ok and I can pick them up...I would be interested in this GB.

Will you be putting together another group buy for these wheels in the near future?

LeMansX5 03-06-2011 01:50 PM

I noticed the M3 rims in 20" for X5.
20" M3 STYLE BMW 5 SERIES 6 SERIES 745I M5 M6 X5 RIMS - eBay (item 290541966816 end time Mar-10-11 21:45:39 PST)

sedate_driver 03-06-2011 03:12 PM

Yeh, thanks. I saw these too but thought the Limestones look better on the X5. I also know Detail-King has the Limestones in 22" but the 20" seems more proportional to the overall vehicle. Having said that, does anyone have these M3 rims on the X5 and can post some pics?

detail-king 03-06-2011 03:25 PM

Hey,

Maybe in the summer. Not sure yet. Depends if I decide to bring them in because I have the new style in stock now. Group buy is posted for the Wheelrep 29.

The 22s also look amazing on the X5!

Maybe I'm too conservative for the big wheel look. However, if you do bring the 20s in soon I'd be interested. I'm looking at a set for my summer driving tires. Of course, summer here in Calgary is a hit and miss proposition. It can start sometimes in May, June, July or never.;)

detail-king 03-06-2011 03:36 PM

LOL! Okay no problem. As soon as I get some more in ill post on this thread. Ill try to bring some in on my next container.

Holy smokes, that was fast! Could you PM me with price and shipping? I have a 2005 4.4 and will probably just keep as close as possible to stock spacing etc. What else will I need? Will my standard bolts work or do I need to get new ones? What about the BMW center cap? Any recommendations for tires? Given Calgary's weather, I may need all seasons even for the summer. It will mainly be for city driving, no off roading and I already have a winter set for the mountains.

Thanks.

truemc 03-17-2011 04:55 PM

Hey I am also in Calgary and looking for a new set of rims (right now just have the 18's). I have a 2007 X5 and same as the previous poster would like to just keep regular spacing etc (don't know a tonne about rims/spacing/offset etc.). I am basically looking to get into a set of 214's (20") and would likely just run all season tires year round.

I found some on Kijiji last fall but that's a bit of a hit and miss affair.
