Looks beautiful! =)

hunty 12-21-2009 07:44 AM

very nice, mine was in stock at the dealer so it is missing a couple of options that i would have liked but got a good deal.

I have to say its superb, totally chuffed with it, so refined and comfortable - i dont get what Autocar mean when they say the GT rides badly.

Interior is second to none and the 8 speed auto a gem. makes my X5 feel like a truck in comparison!

LeMansX5 12-21-2009 11:20 AM

Agree on the interior.
BMW has tried to make the interior as comfy or more comfy than 7-series.

Halston Pitman 12-21-2009 11:22 AM

I saw one finally at the local dealer. I like it!

Thunder22 12-22-2009 08:54 AM

If there was ever a market for this car it's the UK. It just looks like a proper British road car. Congrats.

Meiac09 12-22-2009 09:48 AM

How do you do with the small roads?

I would take this car over my X5 anyday.

Hehe.. thanks for the heads up. I'm definitely not gonna test drive one.. otherwise I'd be miserable in my X5. ;)

Absolutely agree. :D

Everyone has a car that is perfect for them. Back in college I wouldn't want anything else but a M3. As I get older and value comfort more, I move to a different category. The GT is just perfect for what I'm looking for out of a car right now. Though the X5 rocks too!

Essam Khafagi 12-24-2009 07:17 PM

I wonder why the speedometers are both in miles in the UK? Do you guys use miles as well?

UK uses Miles, their own gallons, stones and pounds, etc etc.

I think that English speaking countries just like to be difficult like that. Nicht wahr, AzNMPower32?

hunty 12-25-2009 04:23 AM

the best part is we use miles per gallon for all vehicles but buy fuel in litres! Which just to shock you accross the pond is currently about £1.08 per litre

ruraldev 12-29-2009 12:26 PM

I saw one at the dealer yesterday and looks like the Merc SLK will be going soon, need more comfort. I'll keep the X5 though for the bad roads and weather!

What fuel consumption are you getting on the 3.0D GT?

Cheers

Gordon

Congrats, it's a great looking ride. I must say you are a brave soul with white interior and a car seat in the back. I can see those little shoe marks now.

hunty 12-29-2009 02:14 PM

gordon

is only done 400 miles and showing 31mpg which is 80% urban driving. Not done a long run yet, would reccomend driving one, you will be impressed.

ruraldev 12-29-2009 02:22 PM

Hi Hunty

31mpg is a very good start, the salesman is getting me one for a few hours to give it a decent test drive, I am considering either the GT or the new 5 series or an E class Merc Coupe but the GT was the most impressive, just need to decide if I want to spend £50K by the time I spec it up!

Cheers

Gordon

I got 8% off the car in stock for your info.

poleposition 01-25-2010 06:44 PM

The car looks awesome. Use it in good health. One problem though. Why is the steering wheel is on the wrong side. :nanana:
