I Still don't understand why the car could not be tracked by BMW?

the full story is not being told ! Surely an inside job (i.e. someone with a key) and anyway; is the X5 Security available with the 4.8 engine ? :)
The Wannadoo link reports his X5 is the 4.8.

In under 6 months David Beckham has his second armour plated X5 stolen.

Was the vehicle was equipped with remote start and was this hacked? A pretty sophisticated rip-off.
