HD radio install
 

Hi everyone. Has anyone attempted to install the HD unit (made by DICE)from EAS? I have a 2001 3.0 x5 w/o NAV and looking for some guidance. Thanks.

Hi. What kind of tips are you looking for? Connections, mounting locations, or ? Have you already started the install and got stuck?

There are a quite a few of us that can assist you with that install if you provide a little more info.

Thanks NCX for replying. I'm looking for how to get antenna lead to the unit and if there is a better place to install the unit than the glove box. Thanks for your help.

From the glove box it is not hard at all to go up the molding and up the pillar trim to the top of the glass area. To remove the glove box, have a look at the Final Stage Resistor article. FSR

If you install the module under one of the seats, the antenna wire follows much of the same path.

Glovebox is the best place for installation since this is a prime location near the windshield for the glassmount antenna.
