Anyone here going to the big air show this weekend in Ft. Lauderdale? Last year there were 4 MILLION people there. It is a huge party. We've been going down there for the last 4 years and it is a lot of fun. Right over the beach they fly all the cool planes: harrier, B1 bombers, the B2 STEALTH, F16, F18, F117, F22, blue angels, thunderbirds, Canadian snowbirds, P51's, 737's, Pitts specials stunt planes, apache copters, Osprey, and on and on. It is actually a week-long salute to the military with aircraft carriers and destoryers, parachute demo's, water rescue demos, etc., and ends up with a weekend-long airshow with private and military demonstrations. When the fighters blast past you and rattle your bones at 700mph, and perform all kinds of maneuvers, you will have a renewed respect and pride for our nation's military might.
Plenty of food and drink available. It is free, and is at located at Sunrise and A1A. If you can get there, I highly recommend this family friendly event.
