Danke schön
Thank you to all for the wonderful birthday greetings and wishes (mD, that had me ). Your wishes are meaningful to me and greatly appreciated. Coincidentally, the X3 turned 5 years old sometime last week; it was manufactured sometime in the 1st week of February 2004. It's almost up to 73k miles (116.500km)
My Saturday wasn't particularly great, but today was nice. The weather was properly warm, I met up with a friend, and motored back to campus later this evening. A technological wonderment came my way this afternoon, when one of my uncles "texted" me with nice birthday wish as well. Nothing else particularly eventful or exciting, but that's okay. I'll save the long speech for my 21st birthday . I have been getting on with age lately, it seems. For some unknown reason, now I think brown leather looks somewhat nice in some cars. And I actually found myself watching public television on Thursday  Of course, it is life as usual now. Some schoolwork, grocery shopping, and exercise tomorrow. I've never made a big fuss over my birthday, it's just a good time to look back at how lucky I am. Sure there have been problems the last couple years, but I've made the best of it, with the support of parents and old friends. X5World has always been a source of happy continuity over the last few years I have been participating. In the near future, I'm hunkering down due to the fact I probably won't be able to score an internship over the summer. Oh, the job market's still great for Engineers and IT people, but for folks who want to look at business or administrative jobs, it's a hard one. Looking farther down the road, it would be nice to perhaps travel overseas or even launch a career with a company that does business frequently with western Europe. Funny tidbit: I received the usual forum birthday email from my German-based forum yesterday, about 6 hours early. I sincerely hope to meet more of y'all sometime soon. I mean, my semester trip to NC is kind of predictable by now right? Otherwise, I'm a wanderer within the states of MD and VA, as long as your area code isn't 276 or 757. So on a closing note: The North Carolina Tar Heels will beat Duke on Wednesday. Last edited by AzNMpower32; 02-08-2009 at 10:11 PM. |
