I've had mine for a few weeks now and I can say there is enough difference in the speed to warrant a change. I've had the 1st Gen, the 3G and now this 3Gs...I'm also getting better reception over the same area and I spend a lot of time on a cell phone so it is not a fluke. I've always loved the iPhone for the Apps but thought it was a substandard phone in terms of call quality. AT&T still SUCKS but the 3Gs is a decent phone with Great Apps.

Thanks for the great feedback.....

But the 3G(s) is still OUT-OF-STOCK in Toronto! I'm on a waiting list and a dealer has promised (since last week) to put one aside for me and give me a call when they take delivery... nothing yet. I hope this is not an artificial shortage.

just go to an apple store... Even at the initial 3G release, the Apple store was much better stocked than the AT&T shops. I was in Toronto last week and I saw 3Gs available signs everywhere.

For those of you with 3.0 phones.
(Not first generation phones)
Did you have to sign on to a new
2 year contract?

I'm still holding out for the dream that they will one day make a "pro" type model with real qwerty keyboard..

...Call me a dreamer.

I have it and enjoy all the features, but battery life. After having it for several weeks now, the battery life is abysmal. To last more then a day and a half, you need to turn off Wireless and 3G network.
The battery is actually smaller then the 2g or 3g model.

AT&T isn't one of the service providers in Toronto (or anywhere in Canada), so that isn't an option there.
