Ah, That Smell of gas, diesel, et al...

Whattdya mean we don't 'make anything' here in the US?
'Fuel' is now the US top export...

That should make you feel better when gas is pushing a fin a gal sometime this summer, in many parts of the US. Ah, the labyrinth system.

In a first, gas and other fuels are top US export - Yahoo! News

awesome. But it makes me think.. how much does the US actually export? we are constantly importing all of our goods, so how impressive is this? I know one of our other big exports is food--thus keeping china afloat.

. We might export food and refined fuels, but we import a heckuva a lot more. But I guess folks here just want cheap items and don't want to pay more for stuff made in the USA.

Maybe some are missing my/the art's point: in a global mkt, a producer of products/goods/services will sell/ship them to the mkt it can make the most dough on, and/or a strategic mkt.

The Nat News Talking Heads are already ginning up the anticipated summer fuel cost increases, so I simply thought it was ironic that our current biggest export is refined fuel.
