to be honest, i think paying $7 for a movie is too much nowdays... but.. i am a cheapskate - while i understand the copyright and other stuff, i really think that they are overdoing the prices.. just because they can... the masses always demanded the bread and the entertainment, panem et circenses... (outside of the topic, back in time the term bread and entertainment was to please the brand new citizens of rome - it seems that we are on the path to have a sh!tload of brand new citizens who snuck in the country illegally, and then made demands en masse, and will be the new citizens of rome... i just hope that we don't end up as roman empire...)

so, once the economy rebounces a bit, we will see the splurge of people going overboard with the items of luxury, just to prove to themselves and to the neighbors that they are not cheap... that is a cycle that somebody in Hollywood has realized is coming back, and that is why they made up those crazy tickets - put a "value" of $75, sell of for $50 with the actual cost of $20, make some money in the process... ohh, and sell the soda (the highest profit maker in food industry!!) separately, so you are still not missing on the extra profits...
