Dianne Feinstein gives 25M of your dollars to her husband

Oops.

Quote:
On the day the new Congress convened this year, Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband's real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms.

Mrs. Feinstein's intervention on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was unusual: the California Democrat isn't a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs with jurisdiction over FDIC; and the agency is supposed to operate from money it raises from bank-paid insurance payments - not direct federal dollars.

Documents reviewed by The Washington Times show Mrs. Feinstein first offered Oct. 30 to help the FDIC secure money for its effort to stem the rise of home foreclosures. Her letter was sent just days before the agency determined that CB Richard Ellis Group (CBRE) - the commercial real estate firm that her husband Richard Blum heads as board chairman - had won the competitive bidding for a contract to sell foreclosed properties that FDIC had inherited from failed banks.
Now please envision the outrage if a Republican did this. She basically sent 25M in US funds from the FDIC (which she is NOT a member of the banking committee) to a company that her husband was trying to score a contract with. Now what does her husband do? Well he wins the contract of course and his job? Oh, that would be to sell off your foreclosed home where he makes anywhere from 8-30% on the sale.

What is sickening? This is not the cover of ANY major media source right now. I heard about this last night and had to search for it this morning to find an article on it.

You mean "most" media. Because "most" media is in the tank for the Messiah.

As usual, the Dumocraps in Gov. get a free pass by the media...

Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, et. al, should be in prison but instead they are heroes to their minions....

This is not the first time this issue has come up involving Feinstein and her husband, Richard Blum. Nor is it the second time.

Metroactive News & Issues | The Byrne Report

To see who really controls California politics, you needn't look any further than 3 places - the UC Board of Regents and the Stanford and USC Boards of Trustees. And yes, Blum is the chairman of the UC Board of Regents.

These people are pretty much untouchable. It would be a cold day in hell before any one of them gets caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

Nothing we can do till her voters start to get upset. Since her voters get there news from places like NBC and CNN we are stuck with this filth.

Change? the only change is that it's the Democrats getting caught more frequently now because they control where the money goes.
