No kidding. doesnt the E39 have a 18.5 gallon tank. I forgot what it is but i know its more than 17

Yes it's 18.5 and can go 320mi to a tank easy... Pushed it around 375mi once...

I got like 360 out of mine it was a long highway trip though cruising around 80mph. If i push it hard and its a lot of city driving i will get slightly inder 300miles to the tank. Now that is normal. 150miles to a tank is a joke

The X3 is 17.7 gal and even I think it should be bigger, maybe around 19 or 20 gal? Nevertheless I average 20mpg in the city and once stretched range to 423 mi and 27mpg (highway of course)
