I've heard that the M1 might use a 4 cyl twin turbo. I think I read that in one of the US car rags. I can't imagine anything better (that will fit) than the current 6 cyl twin turbo, it is an AWESOME engine!

Then again, imagine the 1 series with the same 300hp (under-rated) and a much lighter front end, bigger tires and brakes, even better suspension....wow

i may get the M1 if it comes out with the same engine as a 335xi(6cyl. twin turbo). it would be ridiculously fast and i would be eating m3s for breakfast! lol.

The 135i already has that engine. BMW wouldn't utilize the same engine in the M version and the 135i.
