Our '01 3.0 is a 5 speed, and doesn't have that better 6th ratio, but fwiw my OBC shows 20.3 cumulative, which has only been reset a couple times in 13+ yrs and 99 thou + miles.

I have driven a 6 spd briefly...that 6th gear is like an Ahhhhh, at cruising speed, imo.

Fwiw, the 5 spds have the identical gear ratios, 1 through 5, and same rear diff ratio.

Dunno about 'consensus', but I do easy 2nd gear starts regularly: from any kind of slight downhill start, or a not fully stopped situ where I know I don't need first to get back up through the gears....

The first 5 gears in the 6 speed are identical to the 5 speed box, with the addition of a slightly overdriven 6th gear = slightly less rpms...

Those wheels, whether oe or reps, are Style 300/Style 333 depending on if they fit on an E70 or E71.

Agree on the 1st gear stump puller; I use 2nd gear for any slight downhill start or short shift 1-2. I suspect all of us...
