Not a chance. Our old 4.6is has NOTHING on the M, in any way.

The only circumstance I can think of realistically, where the 4.6is MIGHT feel faster, is if one drove each respective vehicle off...

It is true that the power button changes power settings from 400 to full (507) hp in the BMW M5, but this is NOT the case with the X5M or X6M.

I was under the impression that pressing the "M" button made no difference to your acceleration, but rather, simply accentuated the throttle response??

I think that if you floor the car in "M"...
