That's really annoying. My car started doing this exact same thing last week. Taking it to the dealer in a couple weeks to get it looked at as well.

I'm in LA and had it changed at about 5,500...

I'm in LA and had it changed at about 5,500 miles...cost $180 and change...I have the X5 diesel as well.

Thanks for the write-up! I love my X35D as well. I get that same slight hesitation when I'm starting from a stop sometimes. I think it's just the way the transmission is programmed/geared.

Yup, as stated by everyone, ULSD is what you need to use. I live in LA and haven't had any problems finding ULSD. There are a couple stations near my house that have ULSD and the associated sticker...

Love mine! About 3,600 miles on it so far. Power is great and the car feels so substantial and smooth. Been getting about 23/24 mpg in combined driving. :thumbup:
