Are the E83 Halogen High beams the same H7 bulb as the low beams?

The High beams on my 2004 X3 also serve as the daytime running lights. Do these require some kind of a special dual filament bulb or does the standard single filament H7 bulb provide both...

My Headliner is removed, how do I remove my sunshades for recovering?

I recently pulled out my headliner,…I was hoping to be able to remove my front or possibly both sun shades from my panoramic sun roof, so I could take them to my local upholstery shop for recovering....

I got a response elsewhere that it was...

I got a response elsewhere that it was common,....cant recall what it was thought to be,.....possibly a water circulation valve. not sure. I decided not to worry about it.

ordered a new fuel pump from Amazon,...looks correct, but won't snap into the tank

I bought a new fuel pump and surge tank assembly I found on Amazon. It looked identical in every way to the original BMW pump assembly,...but it won't snap into the latch in the fuel tank,....turns...

What engine does my 2004 E83 X3 3.0 have?

I have been doing google and forum searches in an effort to determine what my engine designation is. I have seen reference to N52 and M54, but so far no definitive listing.

Tail light appears to have a bad ground. Anyone else had this?

2004 3.0 sport pkg. My right rear tail light goes dim, and then completely out from time to time,.....next day its fine. Wondering if this is a common problem with a known fix.

My Sunroof and Sunshade assembly was all disabled by the previous owner's mechanic,.....so a bit unsure how to proceed.....may have to reach out to his mechanic.
