changing the cover wont make it jump timing !!You need to find a bmw garage .How was it running b4 the cover change ?

Not that easy!

Why do You wana mess with the timing ? Its a big job to do and might take more then a day did the guides break?The special tool to do the job is 500.00 .

Two years ago I did my timing chain guides and valve cover gaskets there leaking a little bit ,ive been messin with them injector clips and took a break and found this Iam going back and trying this...

Its must of leaked down or something, theres not much to it .You took it out ? was it worn at all? I was wondering if that should be changed every 50000 miles or so just to keep the chain tight?

Ask him how the back intake cover looks ? its the ccvc or pcv ? that oil separator goes down to the oil pan and a little hose joins it at the bottom ,if u look at the bottom of the oil pan make sure...

Oil blowing out the motor its ten outside ,time to replace all that stuff that is to frigin hard to get at. I have a 2001 e53 with 224000 miles never touched the cvcc on it yet , did timing guides...

CAM TOOL

You need the timing tool to hold the cam lobes a certain way so they dont bend the valves !!! But the chains can be left on while you do that . You cant change the guides with out it !!

Try the battery first because the switch has contact points that get burned out,there both a easy fix . You can take the switch apart and clean it and sand it down just to see if its burnt .

Rebuild that motor , the bottom ends are bullet prof find me one that a rod went through the block .Now if you had water in the oil thats a different story. Do the heads and guides reuse the chains...
