Ok fella , mechanic probably did the minimum when I took it in, i asked for the manifold to be replaced and a cv boot, and also did mention that was low on boost and he said he would check the hoses...

I see ironically enough though as i mentioned its since the absence of the wheezing/ whoosh sound at lower revs ie 1500 and up went that i noticed the lack of boost at lower revs...and

Wayne hola, hope all good, is my logic floored here? what does removing the vac line from the egr side of things do>? stops the actuator for egr working and the egr valve stays open or closed...

cheers mate, you again may well be correct , before it went in for manifold i was getting a slight shudder on power down so to speak and switching off engine...now gone

I reckon you are pretty darn correct, it was when easing off pedal I would get whoosh or a low key wheezing noise now that I come to think of it....mystery goes on until i get it to a mechanic

Wish I could help, all i can chime in with is if you had the manifold leak yup black soot in area is clear...other than that same issue as you...probably will take it to guy who did manifold and ask...

Wayne hi, the black hose 5odd cm diameter connected to egr valve has what looks like wire clamp and also a worm hose clip on it attaching it to the egr valve..
how tight does that need be? No play...
