I’ll second the hood switch random alarm issue. Was occurring with mine. Some people have been able to take theirs apart and clean the contacts. I just replaced it.

You can also adjust the PWM rate using software like PASoft. I did that years ago, and also turned off the error checking. It causes flickering on startup.

I second that. I did my 03 4.6iS at 110,000 and they were very brittle. Easily broke pieces off when removing. Its not a matter of if they are going to fail only when, kind of like an aneurism....

Resurrect an old thread. THANK YOU! I thought I had a bad battery, then that I had screwed something up in my EWS using my new FOXWELL.
It ended up being a blown Fuse 5.

Use a g-35 if you can’t find the BMW coolant which is actually G-48. They are phosphate and nitrite free, low silica. Use distilled water to not introduce minerals.
Regular coolant will “work”...

They changed to an internal regulator in the fuel filter. The vacuum line attaches to it. I just replaced mine this weekend and cut it open to inspect. So I can absolutely confirm it’s there.
