The 4.4i uses 2.25'' stock but I used a 2.5inch Xpipe, welded on with 2.25'' to 2.5inch adapters because a 2.25'' X pipe was hard to find around here.

I cleaned and lubed my door locks recently and a day after that the remote stopped working. I re synced the key with the car once and the problem went away. It might be worth a try to re sync them.
