Yeah I like the feature of one touch stop, hit start button and trans is in park and the brake is on. Conversely I usually disengage the parking brake by activating auto hold.

When mine broke I bought a repair service on eBay for about $275. Included new cables installed and repaired the actuator error. Reinstalled myself and errors went away. Pretty easy fix.
