That's what I think I will have to do to remove that Lower ball Joint. But it looks like he pushed out his axle to make room.

Unlike the E39, Iíve never heard this part to be a weak spot, that is why Iím asking. But I guess the smart thing to do is to replace it anyway since Iíll be in there. Iím just over 100k.
