02 E53 3.0d code reader needed

Hi all. My computer has stopped working so i need a handheld obd1 code reader or possibly an app on my phone or tablet.
What are the best but cheap options??

Tune and dyno at the end of build. Will fit everything to see how it runs and fits they probably remove parts again to run until remap.
There are loads of things needing done to just having it run...

Going to use the maf housing and an airbox from the E53 4.4 model to keep it all tidy.
Reducer off the turbo into a 3 inch pipe then to the maf and box being 3.5inch.

I am doing the same thing with the fan. I did replace my fan with an electric one on my 3.0i and I get what you mean by it feels frisky, mine felt smooth not as noisy.

Don't need to hack anything, it will have a custom induction pipe from the turbo and will be including a oil catch can.
There are a few ideas I have with something as simple as cutting the pipe...

Pulled the wiring right back, and found split...

Pulled the wiring right back, and found split cables but not the plate lights or upper bottom.
After voltmeter check i get 0.65v on lights and 0.23 on button?
What's going on there?

The person that had the car before me, cut the pipes a bit short to the filter, and they also a bit worn now.
That's what I was going change the setup.

My fuel filter in my engine bay always leaks, and after replacing it last year, I've decided to bypass it and fit an inline filter like the new models.
Has anyone done this already?

I've just picked up a new bosch airflow metre and having a look at it, the inside sensor part that can be removed, says i2s Germany? Is this correct?
I've never seen this name before on bosch things.

Passenger electric problem

I have a 02 e53 3.0d, and my passenger door window won't work from drivers side button but works with passenger's bottom.
The central locking also doesn't lock or open passenger door.
Any ideas...

I've been driving this gritting my teeth on every journey thinking my swirl flaps might fall off too.lol
