TBH the only thing it gives is the ability to charge the phone

The grills are plastic hence the plastic primer....

The grills are plastic hence the plastic primer. As for removing the grills the bumper needs to be removed (i bilieve there is a "how to" on here) and they just slide to one side and pop out.
