Steering angle sensor is about a foot below the steering wheel, around the steering column.

It just occured to me that the front fender damage has possibly taken out the ABS sensor cable on that...

Watch the electrics - it's pretty easy to unplug the door loom at the hinge boot (after removing the retaining bolt) but disconnect the battery first or you could get a slew of SRS (Air Bag) errors....

A 2004 is identical to a 2005... the doors and fender should work. You can confirm this via part numbers on RealOEM.

The badges are simply stuck on with adhesive (3M?).

It's worth noting that pads don't always wear evenly and as Andrew pointed out above - four pads, one sensor. It's a crap-shoot.

Not for sure but I figure they allow access to something inside the fender liner. It may be that a stage in the assembly line requires access or it may be a maintenance item. I've never removed them...
