I just got the t taps today cause i didn't get any from the package that you sent.
Before working on it,I would just like to make sure that using these t-taps on my stock harness won't cut or damage the wires. I want to make sure i can bring things back to it's original configuration in case something goes wrong with my head light. (warranty concern) If i get a reply from you that all is good to go, then I will post pictures as soon as i get things done. Thank You. |
It will make a small slit in the wire sheathing but will NOT cut the wire at all. You will be able to revert back to stock 100%

Can't seem to fit the predator ice inside the hole. Tried both predator ice and none of them fit. Kinda frustrating. Any solutions?

I just put mine in today, they do fit tight...as they should. I looked at the way the original bulb came out and matched up the direction/placement notches so I at least had an idea where to start with the new one.

As requested...photos. I forgot to mention, this was in my 540 not my x5 but results are still the same...much brighter. The last pic is the old bulb but if you're paying attention when you take it out you can see where the tabs line up to put the new one in.

WOW! Great photos! Do you think I can use them on our website or re-post them on Bimmerfest?

Any idea what type of circuit is in the canister (I assume either a voltage regulator or diodes to get to the 3.5v or soe the white LED needs?) ??
There is also mention of using these for daytime running lights, but don't see any directions for this. And I believe jlevi sells a wiring harness such that you can make the lights basically go on when the car is on, and fade in/out connected from the interior lights. What would this variable voltage do to the included voltage converter? Thanks! -Ray |
Ray,
There is no voltage converter necessary - the ICE runs off the voltage provided by your car. We're still ironing out the installation procedure for the DRL/Remote operation. We'll get back to you shortly on that! Thanks JL |
i need to get a pair for the E39

Need Help!
I installed one of the predator bulbs according to the instructions last night.
I had instant success  However, that was short lived. :banghead: After I got the bulb seated in the housing, I turned on the ignition to compare to the OEM side and no power. :dunno: Without unplugging anything, I plugged in the OEM bulb and it works fine. Is there a fuse inside the predator bulb? If so, how do I check and why would this happen? The wires are connected as shown in the instructions ( Red to Gray & Black to brown) I don't wont to try the other side until I figure out what happened. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks, rd |

SUCCESS!!!
Attached are a couple of (very bad) pics showing both the Predator upgrade Angel Eyes and the Predator Xenix Hyper White Bulbs. Thanks Nick at Jlevi for your support. |
Very nice! Do you mind if we use those photos on our site to display how nice XENIX bulbs are?

I don't mind at all. I'll email you the larger originals. Also check out the pics I sent Nick after my install. |
Working on an E70 version yet? ;) :D
