HIRISC,

Did you lease yours?

How did the numbers work out? Would you mind sharing with the board?

Yes, I leased it. Happy to share.

Here's exactly what I ordered:

Money factor started at .0036 and I laughed at them. Got them 'down' to .0029 (they got the last laugh) and they wouldn't move below that. Very high rate, but not much higher than on the Cayenne Turbo/S or the Mercedes ML63 (the other two trucks I considered briefly). MF on 4.8i's was .00125 :(

FYI - Residual value on 36 month term with 15K miles per year is 52%. I did 12K a year at 54% residual.

My payment on 36 month/12k a year @.0029 money factor came in at $1574 - no cap cost reduction.

Use the lease calculator here:
Car Lease Calculator — Monthly Lease Payments and Costs

LMK if I can help further.

I'm not sure what all that means but did you have to put money down on your lease ? At $1,500 it sounds like you did.

Not one $ down.

Down payments (or what is called cap cost reduction) on leases are a bad idea - for insurance payout reasons. Some people put money down to keep their payment down - or because it's required by the manufacturer.

I paid Acquisition Fee, Doc. Licensing, First Payment, and Tax up front - About $7500. In MN, tax on the leased amount is payable up front :(

You can use the lease calculator to enter - MSRP, cap cost (negotiated 'buy price'), money factor, residual value and lease duration.

It's just a simple math problem.

Ouch on the tax upfront..

So that price is not including monthly tax?

Sorry, just saw this.

Yes, the $1574 is excluding tax.

Seems like everyone has their hand out for $$ lately. MN lease tax is just one of the offenders :(
