Just booked my X5 M..would like advice..
 

Hey,

So I was at my dealer getting service on the X5 and decided to talk to the sales guy. He said he could get me a car from the first shipment which comes in on October 7. They have not received any cars or demo's yet, so these 4 coming in will be the first. I was planning on holding off and waiting to see the car in person first and possibly see all the colors before picking one. The way the dealership here works, is they order the cars which in the case all have the same loaded options, so you only pick the interior/exterior color and buy it. They do not allow you to order one to your specifications.

I have paid $3k deposit today, but the dealer is insisting I pay another $10k by monday. The car comes to about $132k.

The truck has pretty much every option, but I don't see the camera package thing listed which was something I wanted. Also, it is listed as having the 300m wheels and not the 299m.

The color is White with Sakhir Orange..which is also getting to me because I have never seen the color in person, and people are saying it is red but I don't want to go by their word. Anyone have a picture of the Sakhir Orange interior? I am also split between white and black exterior..

I guess the reason I booked it is because this is a dream car for me, its a BMW, SUV, has luxury, and power. Also, I will have one of the first 4 in the country which is pretty cool. Second shipment comes in at the end of November.

So what do you think? Good deal? Should I get it or hold off..

Just realized that it doesn't have comfort seats either. And the trim is aluminum, but I could swap that out for the Carbon one.

The one I drove was Carbon Black with Shakir Orange interior, and it was amazing! Not sure how white will look with shakir interior...

I don't think its really a orange color. More red tones in it.

Dont get white and dont get the aluminum trim either because its a real pain to keep clean and it scratches very easily, go for the Carbon Black with Shakir Orange interior

The Shakir Orange interior pictured above looks more orange than it does in person. I honestly think 'lipstick red' every time I see this interior.

I have aluminum trim in my X now, and I abuse my car but still don't have a single scratch on it. I am going to be swapping it out for the carbon trim tho.
As far as white goes, I like white! I am still considering black but not carbon black, the regular. My dealer only has monte carlo blue, red, white, and silver coming in on their first shipment so I had to pick from those.

i think the white with the interior you have and carbon interior will look gorgeous. Enjoy it.. you will love it.. it's an X5 M.. LOL.
