I have heard the "frozen" look can be done with a matte finish vinyl. Saw one where they removed the clear coat and added a matte finish over the color.

A car wrap should do the job. ;)

3 New Cameras
Our BMW's (Dubai) come set with a speed indicator at 120 which is the max speed, so the Speed limit info does us no good.
Also, aren't there already 2 cameras in the mirrors that look to the sides? Will those still be there in 2011?

New rear lights

Yes, Thats right. My car is 2010 model I have 3 cameras (2 sides + 1 rear) and I have the annoying speed limit as I mentioned here : http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...d-warning.html

The cameras in the mirrors look down towards the ground and to the sides so that the top view can see all around the car. The ones in the front are only for longer distance left/right when pulling out into an intersection or parking space.

Thanks for the info

X5-M Power: The Speed limiter in Dubai is annoying, right!? It used to annoy me a lot when I first got my X5, but I guess I have grown used to it. I noticed it only beeps once now (I think) but I remember it used to beep about 5 times before (As well as "Limit" in the instrument panel and HUD)

Yes, the beep sound is fine but I got red circle on center of the dashboard information says (LIMIT), I can't use BC button and can't read the oclock on the main screen. even I don't know what is the temp. outside, and many many things u can't do it.
BMW, I don't think this is the right way :(

Same here. I have to pull my phone out to check the time while driving because of the (limit)...
Its annoying on the HUD as well..

So is the 2011 still going to have all these cameras?
Which ones were the ones which were backordered/cancelled? Will they be available at launch or later?

IIRC, Speed Limit Info is only in Europe. Or did the nav vendor do it for the US? Sucks that its already outdated thanks to VA.

So... for those of us... and I mean ME, who just took delivery of a NEW 2011 X6M... does any one know if we can get the Side-View, Speed-Limit Info (maybe not that) and LED Tail-Lights installed in our new cars? Oh, and unless I missed it, does anyone have something more specific than spring 2010? It's almost Summer... when can we start pestering our dealers?

Also, does anyone know if BMW will be releasing any new wheel designs... specifically for the X6 series?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!
