Cayenne turbo vs. X5M

Racing big powerful SUVs on a snow covered race track! Now that looked like fun. the guy in the X5M had a huge "tank slapper".

In the drag race it looked as if the guy in the X5M got the jump. The Porsche caught up at speed. Wonder if that is because of the Porsche being more aerodynamic.

M

584lbs less weight...
2011 Pepper Turbo: 4784
2010 X5M: 5368

The Pepper Turbo S will be a beast :wow:

I assume he was referring to the 4:53 mark in video...(motorcycle term).

You are correct, it definitely could have been bigger. But a 5,550lbs truck moving that fast on a snow covered track... seems like a pretty good size slapper to me.
Maybe you just have more experience with them:stickpoke

I would think the less weight would be more of an advantage at the start of the race not the end.

I would think the same...but with the M's upside on HP/TQ i would expect it to pull harder from jump. With nearly identical drag coefficient, at higher speeds, my money would be on the flying brick that weighs ~600 lbs less :D
