Hey everyone! Just wanted to show you all my 2011 X5M. I got it back in September with 14k miles and I am just about done with all her goodies. Sorry about the crappy iPhone pics but I plan on posting a photo shoot in this thread once I get around to it. I just lowered her a few days ago and had to take some quick phone pics to share. Enjoy!and let me know what ya think.
Mods Include:
LUX angel eyes
Black & White emblems from Bimmian
Carbon Fiber kidney grills from TurnerMotorSports
Blacked out front reflectors & tinted black side turn lenses from IND
H&R 2in lowering springs,(Hoping the front springs settle a little more to lower the front just a tad)
H&R 12mm front spacers & 20mm rear all from TurnerMotorSports
And thats just about it for now..

BTW, hope everyones well and Happy Holidays!

Beautiful X! I love what you've done to the stance.

I'm running stock 315/35 run-flats

Michael_s 12-27-2011 10:37 AM

Car looks great...... what's your plan for the winter tires? Summer rubber or other?

Thanks man, I plan on keeping summer rubber. I don't do too much driving in the snow and my old 4.8is kept up in previous winters with her summer tires so well see how this season goes with the M. I was considering a winter setup but decided against it..

iMpower 12-27-2011 10:35 PM

Great looking car.

The drop definately adds more aggressiveness.

Me likey

Stevev 01-01-2012 11:48 PM

What a great looking beast

X5X 01-03-2012 04:26 PM

Amazing stance! As for exhausts, go with Akrapovic.

Wax5 02-15-2012 02:33 PM

What lowering linksndid u use for the rear and how low is the rear? Car looks beefy

Wax5 02-15-2012 02:38 PM

Btw how did you remove your rear roundel BMW badge?

Forster 02-22-2012 09:37 PM

Thanks again for the nice comments!

Wax5, H&R springs up front and H&R links in the rear. Drop is ~2in.

I didn't remove the roundel, its just stickers I applied over the blue. You can get them from bimmian.com in any color. They've held up nicely throughout the winter.

For some reason I can't upload my recent pics, guess I'll try again at a later date..

C's Bimmer 02-22-2012 09:42 PM

Clean and aggressive. Love it! Well done!

Best part about the forums are the pictures! Just updating the thread with some recent shots of the big girl. Just hit 40k! (put on about 26,000 miles in a year and a half, can't stop driving!) Also, KW V3 coils were installed and are a huge improvement over the springs! Between Xoutpost and Xbimmers on bimmerpost, I am all up to date haha

Naz24 01-28-2013 05:23 PM

I feel like I've seen you driving around Morristown nj...?

papasmurf 01-28-2013 07:41 PM

Nice truck and SoGood sticker. You know Eric and Chris?

Thanks! I had the wheels powdercoated gloss black. We should definitely meet up! I plan on getting an exhaust some day. I would love the akra set up with down pipes. I got the Mperformance carbon splitter that I'm putting on her this spring. Maybe get a diffuser if I ever get an exhaust.

Dude,

Ride looks sweet. 2 in is a bit lower than I'd like but it looks sweet. Planning on picking up an M in the next few months and was wondering if you had any problems since owning it. Just doing my research. Seen a few folks on this forum having some major/ghost issues with their M.

Also, thought about the Renntech upgrade instead of Dinan? I think the Renntech gets a little more power and is slightly less expensive.

Thanks

330i ZHP 02-11-2013 11:36 PM

was your truck down at H2O?

truck looks good - I have KWv3s sitting here to install, along with Eisenmann muffler, AR-Design DPs and I am waiting for a set of 22" HREs to be made

I have heard some horror stories too but I have not had any major issues. Just maintenance and since its lowered I cracked some plastic in the engine bay on shitty NJ roads where the hood seals but bmw replaced it. I have looked into tunes and renntech kicks ass but I've been leaning toward Dinan. Mainly because of the warranty and reliability.

Glad to hear you haven't encountered any issues . . . and hopefully won't. Got over the biggest hurdle . . . wife approved of the future purchase and now I begin the search for the right color combo.

BTW, who did you go with in lowering the X5M?
