If you look at the OEM tires on the X3 from Michelin you will discover that they are not premimum SUV/Light Truck tires such as the Lattitudes, Cross Terrains et al tested at tirerack in the comparison tests:nanana: . The OEM skins are Pilot HX passenger car tires which are also OEM on some 3 and 5 series BMW's. It is not a problem with the Michelins, it is a BMW problem with using passenger car tires on a SUV. I can only hope that BMW pays attention to its cusomers and compeditors and specifies real SUV tires on the X3. I notice that they are using real SUV tires on the new X5, one can only hope.:slap:

I assume you are looking at High and ultra high performance M&S tires--looking at tire rack survey section the Michelin pilot and the pirelli p-zero nero are tied for 2nd in the ultra performance m&s category--but the michelin is is $211.00 and the pirelli is $79.00 and both have treadwear of 400--seems like a no brainer. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/ima...lies/thumb.gif

Does anyone have pictures of the PZero Nero M&S on their X3? I would sure like to see them mounted.
