Multiples faults :(

Hi guys

I got some problems with my 04 3.0 E83, and I wonder if anyone ever heard of that kind of problems.

Ok, let me explain to you. The problem only happen when i'm driving my truck and I stop somewhere like the bank or in a drive-in restaurant. So the engine still turning but am in ''park'' position so a litle while.

The Dsc icon light in the cluster ( the 4x4 logo with the triangle ) and than I hear a '' Bing '' and than it's the ABS logo who light in Yellow plus the hand brake logo in red. After that, the Abs and the X drive system both turn off :(((

Even If I shut the engine down, when I turn it back on, the 3 lights are still light. I have to turn the engine down for a litle while ... more than 1 minutes aprox, to ''fix'' the problem.

What i don't understand is the following, if I drive from point A to B with out been ''arrested'' for more than 1-2 minutes, there's no problem, no mather How long the drive is !?

Ho yes, last thing, if i'm stop at a LONG red light, even if on ''drive'' if I stop long enough, the lights light !

Very last thing, no cell code !!! ( check engine )

I've try the right to left steering wheel thing. But this is for the direction sensor.... It didn't work, I would be surprised.

I just read about a similar problem, they sugest to unpluged the negatif on the battery and to reset the ECU ... Well I'll try ! But still not sure :s

... Help !!!! some one !

thank you guys
nick

Your situation occurred to me only once a while ago, and has never reoccurred. When it happened to me, I turned the car off, locked the car, waited 30s, then restarted, problem solved.

If it consistently happens, there is something wrong with your xDrive system likely. I would contact your dealer and have the tech ride with you, so you can demonstrate/replicate the problem.
