Added some maintenance and costs that I forgot to include in the 2019 post after going through my records: new 180A alternator, tensioner, idler, belts, and front/rear differential fluids.

March 01 - May 20, 2020

- Messed with an EHC issue dropping the front end. Replaced the accumulator tank, supply valve, and a new LF ride height level sensor. All to now avail. I believe the system needed a reset to the sensors as one (the one I replaced) had an offset reading that was not possible. Replacing the sensor does not reset the system, must be done in software (INPA, ISTA, DIS, etc). Foxwell might be able to do it somehow but I just made the system worse trying so gave up. Used tank and valve - $100 Ride Height Sensor - (VNE-91673) $57.44

April 01, 2020

- New Bosch front windshield wipers. $20.99

- Rear windshield wiper (E70 fitment as I switched rear wiper arms). $9.60

May 30 - 31, 2020

- Removed the entire EHCII suspension system, installed BC Racing coilovers, and had the truck aligned. $995

October 30, 2020

- Coded the truck to remove it from the ZCS and DSC programming. No more dash errors or DSC codes. This allowed me to finally pull the EHCII module from behind the glove box.

Thank you sir. It's a nice record to keep for my poor memory. :D

- Cleaned and tightened a loose axle boot on the RHS. Had to buy a clamp pinch tool for this. Tired of using improvised tools. $14.06

Hey CW...

I skipped from page 1 of this thread to the last... wow!!

The flat red/ black combination looks pretty stunning - it's more vibrant than the brushed metal/ charcoal-black plastic look of the original... love the bumper with the gloss black grilles!:thumbup::thumbup:

I need to get downstairs and fix up my Subs now :D

Thank you sir. She brings a smile to my face every time I look at the truck.

Adding recent work so I don't fall too far behind again.

July 09, 2021

- Replaced worn ACS sticker on the rear spoiler. $22.73

https://xoutpost.com/attachments/x5-...621_121137.jpg

- Serviced the transmission w/ 7.5qts of Valvoline Maxlife Multivehicle $35.94

- ZF Filter Service kit ZFS-1068298084 $126.49

- Valve body tube seals (24107520715, 24107519315, 24107519314 x2) $17.26

- Valve Body bridge seal 24347571211 $8.09

Results of the trans service have been night and day. No more shifting delays or clunkiness and the 2-1 gear change "slam" has been cured. Feels like a new X5. Even seems to have more initial response though this is probably placebo.

- Full oil service with OE filter, 8qts of Liqui Moly 5w40, and a qt of Lucas Oil Stabilizer $96

I so need to do this - I'm kinda fed up with it messing with the DSC and I really want to see if it improves the handling when re-activated, since I notice the truck slipping more on corners without the active suspension and DSC.

Also it messes with the tyre pressure warning system, right? I just noticed I had a flat FR tyre this morning and had to hand pump some pressure to get it to the garage. Fancy valve caps will be the death of me...

Wife and kids are out of town for a few weeks, so I got nothing but time right now to code this suspension error out... ;)

I don't believe the ehc2 is tied into the tpms (forget BMW's acronym for it). If you had a flat it is likely a puncture or a valve stem or valve stem core that is leaking. I had to replace a core (the actual valve in a valve stem) because it had a slow leak on one of my other cars.

Good luck with the coding. It's not overly complicated but not overly simple either. Hopefully the threads on the subject is enough to guide you.
