Just wanted to say hi. I have been searching for a while now for an X5 and finally found one I liked. Was looking at newer ones (07-08) but ended up liking this one the best after I could not find the latter ones with under 100,000 miles on it.

The one I got is a 2006 and has 65,000 miles on it and is in great shape. So far I have to replace one light bulb ($$) and the CEL is on for what appears to be fuel vapor related so I ordered a fuel cap as a first step. Overall I am happy with it and love the way it runs and drives!

Welcome! I've always loved that color on the X5. Great looking car and nearly no miles.

Looking good. 4.4i with sport pkg.
Read the CEL code to determine the exact cause. Don't go around and throw new part on it and hope that's the fix.

I put it on the scanner and found a P0442 "evap small leak" code. After using the search feature on this site I think I narrowed it down to a possible gas cap or under the hood sensor that controls it. Gas cap is cheapest so I am starting there lol.

Also, I have a headlight out which is the HID style d2s bulb and they are $$$!! :wow:

Wow the Brown leather sports seats look amazing!

Btw - replace your D2S bulbs in pairs, one of them is likely about half the brightness (they dim over time)

If you want a GENUINE pair of Philips or Osram D2S bulbs get them from here for about $80 shipped for the pair -

Welcome! Great find.

Thanks guys!! And thanks for the link, i ended up finding some cheaper bulbs "cheese made" I'm sure on Amazon that I ordered the other day. They are the correct style but I also don't want to put them on there and burn up a blast or something down the road if that even possible... Might send them back, not sure yet. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I really love the brown leather seat in this one, its was one of the things that attracted me to it in the first place then the low milage was a bonus!

Honestly return them - Amazon is usually good about easy returns - they are cheap Chinese junk and your faded OEM bulb is probably brighter - Not to mention capsule alignment, quality of quartz glass, etc etc etc

Order the correct Genuine quality bulbs for your car - your eyes will thank you at night - Osram's are $80 shipped on that website and Philips are $86 shipped I believe

:iagree: RB is 100% correct on this. I could not believe how dim my originals had become until I put the new ones in.
