White46, did you need to heat the pads to 300C for your successful repair?

No, I didn't use any heat during repair.
My root of cause was ribbon separating from PCB.
Just make sure to clean ribbon contacts on PCB throughly.

I did the cluster and mid repair a time ago. I would recomend to buy a new lcd with the ribbon pre attached. Did that for my instrument cluster, but not for the mid. It makes the job way easier [emoji106][emoji1]

I've seen the tear down and that is sage advice if you get a good price. It's only $100 for refurbish service zero labor
