AvinUSA Avant 3 install DIY for my X5!
 

Hey guys..

I wanted to share my latest install for my E53, since I did the Avant 2 a few years ago now, I have since upgraded to the brand new Avant 3!

This really is a fantastic upgrade, adds a ton of functionality, cellular connectivity, and even ibus connectivity to do light coding to the car. (I am only now just scratching that surface as there are a TON of options)

Decided to pass on the on Dynavin because Apple CarPlay is an add-on that only connects via analog cables, thus poorer display quality. Love that the Avant 3 has digital CarPlay. Wish it was built-in, but willing to pay for the upgrade.

Will definitely be using this video when I get around to installing mine (hopefully early next year).

oh yes this is finally a dream come true for me. i dont not like the android units with dsp not working. can i download apps on this stereo?

Absolutely yes, its a working android system and you have access to the Play store.

Looks like a nice system. I'll be keeping an eye out for the functionality video. I also had an Avant 2 installed and really enjoyed it in my previous X5.

Might just be going with one of these now that they added DSP and OBC control.

It looks Like a very Nice system, appel car play is a feature i miss om my seicane unit.
But I only paid 299 for the seicane,. The Avin would be about 1000 with all the adds, and I don’t think I would be 3 times as happy with the avin. :)

By the way, looks like you can’t measure the oil temp in the ibus app. Either can I, anyone know if that is a common problem ?
