Aftermarket head unit gradually popping out of place

Hello,

I have an Eonon aftermarket head unit (https://www.eonon.com/Android-Car-GP...Head-Unit.html) (ps it's crud, DO NOT BUY), and it keeps popping itself out of place.

Some days it will only work it's way out less than an inch and we can simply push it back in, other days it will be well over an inch and it can't be pushed back in - we need to unscrew it and place it back in. The screws have even bent now.

Has anyone experienced this with their aftermarket head unit before? Or have any suggestions?

It's inside a 2001 e53 X5 3.0i. Haven't been hitting any big potholes recently, but then again in CA "big" potholes is probably relative.

For anyone not familiar, it is only held in by two screws at the top corners. Nothing to secure it at the bottom but I am open to ideas.

Thanks!

There is a post that screws into the back of the radio that goes into a hole in the dash at the rear. This is what keeps it from doing that. The radio didn't come with it I bet since I have never seen one that did. You either have to take it off a factory radio or just make a post out of a bolt by cutting the head off of it.

I used emblem tape and it works fine although I wonder how it will be to remove since that tape can hold trim on the outside of the car for years....
