Where is the distribution valve anyway? How do you get to it?

I would go for cheapest easiest thing first. Bags you can hear leaking. Distribution valve is hidden.

It is by the accumulator under the truck on the passenger side. Have to remove the bottom plastic shield to get to it. Not cheap though, $450-500. Arnott air struts are $266 apiece from RockAuto.

Valve part number: 37246779713

Question, do I do both front bags (unknown age on current bags) and the front distribution valve? Or just the bags first to see how that goes? Or vice-versa and do just the valve? How do I get the front end up enough to move the car without dragging on the flares?

If the front bags have deflated the front valves alone could not explain it. Even if the front valves are open the bleed valve would also have to be open for the bags to deflate. So I would start with the bags.

EHC2 control unit is also notorious for having internal failure especially regarding the control of the front bags.

Appreciate the guidance. I was leaning that way as well since the age of the front bags is unknown (> 4 years old and 30k miles in my ownership). I will scan the truck to see if the EHC2 module has any faults in it.

Thanks Prop. The RockAuto ones are the entire assembly rather than just the bag. For $70/ea extra, I'd like to save the time of rebuilding the strut assemblies and have new bearings/strut mounts up top.

Can you elaborate why this is? Genuinely curious. So what would point to a distribution valve failure?

Anyway, yea shit. The valve is money. Start with bags for sure.

Here is the pertinent info in TIS for the valve removal at the accumulator.

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ulator/EPfFxDn

And info on filling the system and the line distribution from the valve.

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ulator/EHzio8V

I was also curious why the valve could not be the culprit considering it's affecting both front air springs.

Some bedtime reading about EHC2 from page 27 on.

I have rear bags only...just changed them, cheap and easy. Not sure what is involved with fronts. Do the bags only.
