Like the title I must of had this under guard bar for a good five years but I had no fitting kit for it after searching couldn't find one so it ended up in a friends storage , where it mysteriously disappeared for a while once back knowing its rarity I choose to move it , well this weekend was the time to sort it and get it fitted so I made my own style of brackets using pictures from the bmw fitting instructions , only thing I did different was on the very front brackets I welded a tab off the inner bar which bmw say to remove , I was so keen to get it fitted I didn't take any pictures of my brackets but ill get it over the pit and take some for you all.

Sweet. :bmw:

I have a brochure with OEM optional equipment and gadgets. Some are so nice but not available anywhere.

why thank you know that's a brochure id like to see :thumbup: I'm always looking out for extras mine was never fitted with but not fully aware what's out there so far I've added the following;

Heated steering wheel
compass mirror
electrically adjustable rear seats
front under bar

Sure, I'll snap some pictures or scan it into a PDF file. The brochure came with a Bentley manual I bought locally. The owner had a sport model. I can't remember the engine size though. I wanted the Bentley manual. He saw my X5 and noticed I was trying to bring it up to date for daily driving. He sold me a folder full of diagnostic stuff, brochure, and Bentley manual.

wow that was a lucky find I do have the Bentley manual which I have found very helpful for wiring diagrams , looking forward to seeing what you have , I forgot to say I have fitted the is body kit bits although I've not fitted the front bumper part as I'm in two minds if I like it :dunno:

Looks great and one of the few things I been wanting to fit to my X5 but unfortunately can no longer find it anywhere.
There is a company, Pro Tuning in Latvia, that may still sell a look alike, but it's not the same or have the desired effect, so I am still looking or may build one myself.

Cool! Eyebrows are available. Mine needs some. For some reason, the vision light line is too high. Seems I'm driving with high beams on. The arm level sensor is correctly orientated too. :dunno:

thanks powers1 if I'm honest at the time I brought it I wasn't looking for one it just came up at a silly price and I mean silly price so I brought it thinking if I don't fit it ill just sell it on again , if you need any measurements ill happily help you out.

x5chemist with regards to the lights I can understand what your saying as I feel the same with mine I've even checked and double checked the height controllers working like it should.

The lights are manually adjusted for the correct level. The auto-levelling system then keeps them at that (pre-set) level regardless of suspension movement.

You simply need to set your lights correctly. ;)

What's the adjustment distance from a wall or garage door? Plus, how high is the line from ground up? All being on a flat surface?

dazzasgotav8,
Here's a brochure teaser!
The brochure is 35+ pages. I'll get scanned into a PDF file. I can post pictures of specific pages. I'll take an index picture.
