What was the cause? High emissions?

pski215 11-25-2008 06:29 PM

check engine light has been on for a while

If the CEL has been on, have the codes read and post them. Then we'll be able to get a better idea of what is causing the problem and help with some fixes.

pski215 11-25-2008 07:12 PM

had the codes read computer reset etc.

Big "J" 11-25-2008 08:15 PM

Ok... that really doesn't help. What were the codes before you had them reset?

It could be a bad O2 sensor, due to bad gas? Or many other things.......

i know which sensor is bad it was in the original post lol, the mass air sensor is the only sensor bad, and the idle air control valve is also bad.

Not sure which one you have. If its 3.0 I have Idle comtrol valve from my 330ci - you can have ( I just need to find it in my garage)
Would be nice if you can post a picture from REALOEM of the valve you need...just to confirm. Let us know.
