Differences between MKIII and MK4

Can anyone list ALL of the differences between the MKIII navigation and MK4? One thing I have read is that the MK4 is faster - I don't fully understand though, what is actually faster? Is the interface different in any ways? Does it offer any extra features?

Also does anyone have pictures of the differences in the graphics between the two units?

MKIII is CDROM based and MKV is DVD Based. DVD based is a lot faster and holds a lot more data than CDROM

Mk3 / 4

yes I would rate this upgrade as the mk3 is alot slower. The DVD is quicker on disicion making and vehicle location!!!!

By faster, think of the difference between a 350 MHz Pentium 2 computer and a 2 GHz Pentium 4 computer. It's faster.

As for extra features, besides being much faster:
- The MkIV has the entire US and Canada on a single DVD, versus 8 different regions on individual CD's for the MkIII
- With the release of the V26 operating system, the MkIV has new and improved screen graphics
- The MkIV has the Route Magnet feature, allowing you to alter the selected route via map inputs
- The MkIV allows you to select direction of travel navigation on a broader range of map displays, with the vehicle always depicted in the center of the map.

There's probably some others, but that's what I can come up with off the top of my head.

You mean when you zoom out further than a mile you can select the "direction of travel" option for map orientation?
