I dont think you'll notice a huge difference on those compared to OE, maybe a tad stiffer but those are for the straight wishbone control arm, you'd have to press in and out.

I've only seen urethane ones for the thrust arms, which were reported to be stout. I don't believe the bushing on the wishbone is a huge weak point in our front ends so I would just stick with OE and replace the arm when it is worn (cuz chances are the ball joint would be worn too)

I've heard good things about meyle HD bushings

Bulk, I've got the one piece Powerflex urethane bushings installed and have nothing bad to say. Some will complain the they give a "harsher" ride in the front. I didn't notice any difference. The 4.8 rides so rough as it is and then add low profile 20" tires.......well, you get the point. The urethane bushings should last you twice the miles over stock. I say go for it.

Thanks guys, my reasoning for getting them was that I could install them without needing a shop press but from RB's post it seems I'd still need to press them in anyway. Id prefer a smoother ride so I'll probably end up getting the normal type. Thank you for your thoughts

The 2 pc poly bushings can be pressed in much easier (can be done with a vise) than the metal cased rubber counter parts (ie meyle HD, oem's). IMO, these may not reduce ride quality significantly, but they will transmit road noise/vibration as poly bushings do.

Just out of curiosity, why not just do the whole arm? The febi arms are decent replacements, at a reasonable cost, with the added bonus of a new ball joint and much simpler install!

Are you sure you arent looking to replace your thrust arm bushings? Those you can do Meyle HD ones (although you need a press or to replace the arm), the ones you posted were confusing to me as well until i realized which control arm was the forward and rearward control arm in the front end.

I replaced the wishbone control arm (has ball joint on it already) with Febi on both sides, Meyle HD thrust arms with busings preinstalled, and Febi ball joints which install separately on the thrust arm/knuckle, febi front sway bar bushings as well. My front end is tight as........well you know.

Shake n bake !
