EGR Delete kit - AARodriquez Corp or Bimmer Tune

So I got code P2457 for ERG cooling and I might as well delete the system. Has anyone used either kit? I can't find any good DIY... is it pretty obvious and accessible from the top of the engine? Lastly, what tune should I use?

I like tunes and mods from one shop. Less chance for finger pointing.

Go with AARodriquez's race pipe and have JR Performance (chiptuning.ca) code out the egr.

The egr is very easy to get to and should take you about an hour.

Ard, agreed, however I emailed AArodrigues and they said they can offer a JR Tune. Not sure if it's better to go through them, or get directly from the source. However, looking in JR Tuning's website, they offer a Stage 2 and up but don't list a EGR delete-only option. The delete is attractive because it's much cheaper than replacing the part... a $850 tune to make it work is less attractive as this is my wife's/family car. But then again +80hp does sound great! But not at the expense of DPF or turbo life.

Going through AArodrigues will net you the same price as going straight to JR.

Shoot JR an email and ask them for the price for the EGR delete. They don't advertise it.

Thanks! Called them and indeed they have that options for a couple hundred less than a S1 tune. I'm doing the thermostat at the same time, but skipping on the swirl flap delete as I've read the US cars don't have an issue with them failing.

I ordered the blank plates at the same time I ordered the delete kit. I will swap out the swirl flaps when I pull the manifold to change the vacuum lines
