All Weather Rubber Floor Mats (rear)
I've seen photos of the front ones.
But does anyone have photos of the rear ones? Is it two piece design or a one piece like the All Weather Rubber Floor Liners (BMW/WeatherTech)? |
No pics, but they are 2 separate pieces. I have them, and they're good, but there is no piece for the middle (under the vent area).

i concur... it's a two piece design that sits directly behind each front seat...
it contours nicely but there is no middle piece..(and i'm not sure why if they knew this they didn't design it as a single piece) good thick rubber material... definitely worth getting. |
All -
Try Husky Liners. We have them in the front, rear, and cargo area. The rear seat is a two piece affair with one side that is designed to cover the center hump reaching over to the other side. Hope this helps. John |
Thanxs for the input!
I'm actually going back and forth from the liner and the mats. Here is my dilema: Pick Liner (over mats): Looks nicer (at least the front sets, haven't seen 2nd row or 3rd row) IMO Slightly more protection + 2nd row covers middle section by vents Pick Mats (over liner): Less expensive Matching cargo liner 2nd row + 3rd row easier to remove to clean since it's two piece design I think the deciding factor for me will be how they feel. The mats look like they are more rubbery (softer), while the liner looks more like hard plastic. Can anyone give any insight? I wish dealers had these in-stock for me to compare, but the 2 dealers I stopped by don't have any in-stock. Hopefully someone will have some pics and some good input, then I don't have to drive too far this weekend to try another dealer (of course, I'll call first this time). As for the Husky liners, no clue. Went on their website, used their product finder, but nothing comes us for an 2008 X5 or a 2007 X5. |
All weather floor mats and cargo liner
I too have been searching over a year for appropriate floor mats and cargo liner for a 2007 X-5. I hoped Huskyliner would have an '07-08 product by now, but they seem lost in a X-5 2006 and earlier time warp. I even wrote and called the manufacture. At the time, May 2007, Huskyliner assured me they would produce X-5 mats and cargo liners by fall '07. Duck season and ski season have come and gone, my interior looks like heck and still no Huskyliner product.
I since have found weather tech makes great front and rear seat mats, and even third row mats, but no cargo liner. Hexomat makes an adequate cargo liner and floor mat, but there is no lip similar to the pan design of the Huskyliner. I didn't think a year-old vehicle would be so cutting edge the after market folks couldn't produce decent heavy duty floor mats and cargo liners. |
Simply a matter of preference, but our 6 3/4 yr old orig carpet
mats, still look pretty good. The front driver side is a bit worn and needs to be re-stuck with the velcro tabs regularly, but the pass. side and rear mats, vacuum up clean and are barely worn...granted, we aren't hauling dogs & drippy kids, nor does it see much snow the past 3 seasons, but I never understood the need for industrial rubber catch all mats, unless I was hauling dirt or living in the snow belt. Just my 2Cts. GL,mD Edit: I do have a WeatherTech rear cargo floor liner from day 2, but that's just to keep the continual load of plants, mulch and stuff off the orig carpet. |
